Projects with DAH Architects

It was through Tim's internship in 1988 with David A. Harness, Architects that brought us from Central Indiana to Northwest Indiana.  Tim continued working with DAH after graduation in 1990 until leaving in September 1995.  Lauren worked with DAH for 11 months before moving on to Fanning/Howey in 1991.   David Harness was Tim's mentor, and provided Tim with a great amount of experience. 

The firm was located in Hanna, Indiana in southern LaPorte County.  The office averaged eight employees between 1990 and 1995, having as many as eleven employees in 1993.

Sadly, David Harness passed away in November 1995, and this firm closed its doors about six months later.
DeMotte Town Hall • DeMotte, Indiana

Facility for the town offices and police department located in a park setting.  Intent was to have the building look like a park pavilion with shingle cladding on the upper walls, and a grand entrance porch.  Mechanical mezzanine is located in the gable behind the clock. 

Tim has always had an interest in Indiana courthouses and municipal facilities, and was very excited to be involved with this project.  The Demotte town government was also an excellent group to work with.

Tim also surveyed the site to develop a topography drawing since the town/county surveyor was not available to do this within the required time frame.

Christ Presbyterian Church; Crown Point, Indiana

This congragation followed the population movement from Gary.  The facility was designed to serve their immediate needs.  The fellowship hall is designed to also serve as a sanctuary.  The facade was designed to allow for the addition of a future sanctuary building.
